Why We’re Pressing Pause on the Blog (and What’s Coming Just for You)

We're still here!

Just a quick note from our kitchen to yours...

We're pressing pause on the blog for a little while. But don't worry, this isn't a goodbye. It's a reset.

Over the past few years, this blog has served as our platform to share personal stories, chef tips, recipes, and reflections on life, both in and out of the kitchen. But lately, we've been craving something more connected. More helpful. More YOU.

We've heard from so many of you. Tired of the dinner time scramble, bored with the same four meals, unsure how to cook for one or two without wasting food, wishing someone would just tell you what works.

After 30+ years in the restaurant industry and the past eight years running our personal chef business here in Colorado (and Puerto Vallarta), where we've cooked for busy families, curious home cooks, and everything in between...personal chef business, we've cooked in every kind of kitchen and for every type of eater.

We've seen picky toddlers, tired parents, solo cooks who hate leftovers, and couples who just want a simple, healthy meal for two.

And now, we want to share everything we've learned, the tips, systems, and small wins that actually make real-life cooking easier. We're creating a new space centered around real-life struggles and hopes.

Welcome to The Kitchen Table with Aric and Yukari

We want to create a cozy, judgment-free corner of the internet where cooking feels easier, lighter, and more joyful. If you're a busy mom trying to bring dinner for hungry little ones, a solo professional sick of takeout, or a couple figuring out how to cook just for two again…

"The Kitchen Table with Aric and Yukari" is for you, and these are some of the things on our minds for the space.

  • Easy wins: 30-minute dinners, one-pan meals, family-approved swaps

  • Smart systems: how to batch cook without burnout, remix leftovers, and use what you have

  • Real talk: reflections on feeding others, staying inspired, and letting go of perfection

  • Warm community: a place to ask questions, swap tips, and learn from each other

Right now, we're putting our creative energy into building that space, so the blog is taking a little breather. However, our personal chef services remain strong here in Colorado, offering weekly meal prep, private dinner parties, and in-home cooking classes.

(Private parties fill up quickly, especially around the holidays! Now's a great time to get started on your party plans and lock in your date with us HERE!)

And if you're looking for inspiration in the meantime, our past blog posts are still up and ready to browse anytime.

Also, Senna the Dish Pit Pup and Ka-En the Sous Chef Firecracker are still causing kitchen chaos daily. Some things never change.

Thank you for being part of our journey so far.

We're not going far. We're just setting the table for what's next.

And we can't wait to pull up a chair beside you.

With love, (and probably flour on our aprons),

Aric and Yukari
